An On-Campus Early College Experience for Area Students Taking Dual-Credit Courses
The Northern Academy early college experience is a high school dual credit program designed to improve the transition to college or technical school for juniors and seniors who meet academic requirements to take high school dual-credit courses.
Hear from Northern Academy students:

“The Northern Academy did a great job helping me transition smoothly into taking college courses. It allowed me to see what was expected as far as work outside of the classroom was concerned as well as helped me to navigate the online systems colleges use more easily when I started my first year of full-time enrollment. Although online courses are a convenient option for students to gain college credit, in person dual credits allowed me to better connect with my professors and my peers.” Maggie – Aberdeen, SD
“This [was] my first time being in person with my professors, and I will say that this is a great opportunity for juniors and seniors to get that early jump into college life. This is also good for kids who may have struggled with online dual credits because you get those face-to-face lectures and can ask questions.” Austin – Leola, SD
